How to make your table shine with porcelain

Porcelain for special occasions

Do you belong to a group of people who appreciate visitors and always want to provide them with maximum comfort and care? Do you like to host parties, gatherings and celebrate holidays? Do you find it pleasant to be able to surprise with something thoughtful, refined? If you answer at least one of these questions in the affirmative for yourself, then be sure to read on to learn what an impact a quality and spectacularly set table can have with well-chosen chinaware.

Choosing simplicity?

In today's hectic times, many practices lead to simplification and simplification. However, for some time now there have been examples of situations that make it clear that such a solution is not always appropriate. There is a proliferation of shops selling goods without packaging, which is certainly not entirely convenient, but it is certainly the right approach for the environment. We go directly to the producers for cooking ingredients, have seasonal fruit and vegetables sent to us, participate in farmers' markets, etc. This has the added dimension of increasing the quality of life.

When we go out socially, we design our outfit according to the occasion, and we should likewise be able to adapt our home for important moments with family, friends, business associates. This can be done by setting the table appropriately and interestingly, or by the decoration on which we serve our favourite recipe or the menu that we have created and thought out for the moment. It would be a shame to ruin our efforts with a worn-out plate that says nothing, or even says everything. Wouldn't it taste better from well-chosen contemporary china, whether classic or modern in appearance?

Place of origin of porcelain

It is a great advantage that in the vicinity of Carlsbad there are deposits of the highest quality raw materials for the production of porcelain, which has given rise to many porcelain factories that have always been among the very well rated producers with a reasonable price-quality ratio. It is therefore not necessary to buy imported porcelain, but rather to rely on manufacturers that our ancestors knew and that use the knowledge accumulated over generations. Many companies have been forced out of business in this difficult industry, and only a few have survived and are still trying to attract increasingly demanding consumers with their products. One of these companies is the Rudolf Kämpf manufactory, located in the heart of the Karlovy Vary Region in Loučky near Nový Sedlo. Some may know this porcelain factory under the name Leander, which was used until 2007, i.e. until the porcelain factory returned to its original name from the beginning of its existence at the beginning of the 20th century. If you choose Karlovy Vary porcelain, you are to some extent showing pride in products that were created by people from Bohemia.

Choose one set of porcelain or two?

Everyday porcelain should be able to withstand rough handling, frequent use, be practical and, above all, not harmful to health. Porcelain for special occasions can be expected to go the extra mile, i.e. to show our taste, to pamper those we have decided to treat, to invite into our most intimate surroundings at home. To perhaps even be a topic of conversation.  For such occasions, you can choose from our collections under the Rudolf Kämpf brand, but also under the Leander brand. For example, the collection under the name Wedding Sonata has a First Republic elegance, timeless refinement, but at the same time sophistication down to the smallest detail. It is a great collection for a fully set wedding table, but also for a dinner table or a St. Martin's table.

It might be great if the porcelain carried a piece of us. This is not an easy assignment, it is very expensive to customize the shape of the porcelain, it is a little easier with the decor, but even so it is not a walk in the park. The most commonly requested customization is the inclusion of a complete monogram or the initial letter of a surname. This can be applied to almost all collections by hand painting, a service also offered by the Rudolf Kämpf porcelain factory. However, it also offers collections that are directly adapted for the application of a monogram, which is realized in the form of printing and the cost of its completion is lower than when realized by hand painting. Such a collection is the Andean Wings collection.

There is a trade-off

The two collections of the Rudolf Kämpf porcelain house combine both the function of everyday tableware and interesting tableware for entertaining. These are the HyggeLine collection and the RoseLine collection. These are tailored for monogram application. They are made in metal-free colours, so they can be used in the microwave. The inks are baked to a temperature of over 800°C (800°F) and therefore durably withstand dishwasher use. They can be a suitable collection for everyday use, where they are a beautiful reminder of family togetherness, but can also be a nice change for a surprise visit. The decor of HyggeLine comes in 5 colours, it is possible to personalise each family member's own dishes with their complete initials.

You can find a detailed overview of the collections and the range of products that can decorate your table on the Rudolf Kämpf porcelain shop website, and the staff, whose blood runs through their veins, will be happy to advise you on the choice of porcelain.
